TUITION POLICIES

New Policies Beginning August 25, 2008

Beginning August 25, 2008, enrollment in Petaluma School of Ballet will no longer be on a monthly basis, but on a Semester Basis only.  Accordingly, by enrolling at the beginning of a semester it is understood that the tuition for the entire semester is owed.  No tuition deduction or allowance shall be made by reason of absence, withdrawal, suspension or dismissal of the student.  Tuition is not transferable, and is non-refundable unless withdrawal is due to prolonged illness or injury verified by a doctor's note.  Missed classes due to illness or holidays must be made up in a lower level class other than the student's regular class during the same semester in which the class was missed.  First time students may withdraw up to the fourth lesson for a full refund (excluding registration fee).  After the fourth lesson, the semester tuition for first time students is fully owed and non-refundable.

Payment Options

The school year is divided into two semesters, with 19 weeks of dance instruction in each.  Tuition will be prorated for students who enroll after the semester has begun.  For all others, tuition for the entire semester is due in full at the beginning of each semester, and will receive a $25 discount.  If you pre-register prior to August 25, you will receive an additional $5 off the full semester tuition.  Tuition may also be paid in five equal installments, which can be paid by Visa or MasterCard, or by post-dated checks held by the Petaluma School of Ballet.  In order to use the Visa or MasterCard for installment payments, a registration form for automatic withdrawals must be filled out and signed in the office.  The installment payments, if chosen, are due August 25-30 (the first day of class), and then the first day of October, November, December and January, for the first semester, and February, March, April, May and June for the second semester.  The semester discount of $25 does not apply if installment payments are chosen.

Returned Checks

There is a $25.00 fee for returned checks. Returned checks may be subject to triple the amount as allowed by law.  Admission to class may be denied to students with past due accounts.

Insurance and Registration Fee

An insurance and registration fee per individual is required a the time of enrollment and annually thereafter.  This fee is non-refundable.

Rhythm-N-2's, Romper Rhythm, Pre-Ballet:  $25
One to three hours per week:  $30
Over three hours per week:  $35

Classes may be cancelled for insufficient enrollment at the discretion of the Petaluma School of Ballet.

Withdrawal from Classes - No Refunds

A student is considered enrolled and semester tuition is due and expected accordingly unless a withdrawal form is completed at the front desk.  Students who simply stop attending are still responsible for tuition until a withdrawal form is filled out.  NO refunds are given.  If you need to make special arrangements due to extreme illness or injury, please communicate with the front office.  Tuition will be charged, whether you’re attending or not, until a withdrawal form is completed.  Accounts more than 90 days past due will be sent to our collection agency, North Coast Collections.
