About Us

Petaluma School of Ballet welcomes you to our Fall 2010 session. We have an exciting year planned for our dance programs and are proud to be Sonoma County’s oldest dance studio, offering quality dance training and education since 1959!

We offer ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, Kidz Jazz, hip hop, and Zumba (our latin dance fitness classes). We are also the home to Petaluma Aikido, Sue White Tap and Capoeira with Fabio Mendes, providing a dance and fitness center for all your family's needs.

Performing opportunities include our full-length Nutcracker, our ballet company, Petaluma City Ballet (PCB) and our end-of-year Student Showcase.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

That each child, with correct technique, can be a beautiful dancer no matter what their body type. Our studio provides the same level of quality training to every student whether they will pursue dance professionally or not.

That dancers should perform. It gives our students confidence and self-esteem and the ability to compete or to excel in a professional career of any kind.

That children like hard work and lots of it; they want to work hard and have limits set for them as well as challenges.

Dance is what we love and what we teach very, very well.
