Attendance/Promotions
Class placement through Pre-Threshold is based on age and takes place in
August, January and June. Ballet Division promotions
(Level 1 and up) are based on teacher recommendations.
Absences and/or failure to attend each assigned class may retard promotion. Please discuss attendance
problems promptly with the office. Private lessons are only offered to students once they
have attained Level 5.

We encourage students to take lower level ballet classes as well as
other styles of dance as time allows, in order to enhance and fine
tune their technique.
Performing Opportunities
Student Open House & Showcase
An annual Open House is held the last week of the Fall semester and our Student Showcase
is held the last week of the Spring semester. Rhythm N 4s - Level 6 perform
in our end of year Showcase. Rhythm N 2s will perform during their last class,
and Rhythm N 3s classes will perform during the last week of the spring semester. Costume custs range
from $25.00 to $70.00, dancers keep their costumes,and fees will be due in January.
Nutcracker
To participate in the school's annual Nutcracker, a student must be
6 years old by 7/15/10, have taken the Spring and Fall semesters and the
required summer dance classes for their assigned levels prior the production,
take the required number of classes for their assigned level. All tuition must
be current. Auditionwill be held on September 11. Watch for the
times. Mandatory Parent Meeting: September 13 at 6:45 p.m.
Petaluma City Ballet Company
The School is the official home of Petaluma City Ballet, a
non-profit 501(c)(3) corp., and a member of Regional Dance
America/Pacific. Dancers are chosen through an annual audition
or may be invited to join by the Artistic Directors Ann Derby and
Zoura O’Neill.
Communications
Please
check your dancer's mail folder (located by our office window) and the bulletin
boards in the main entrance each time you come to the studio. Our office
staff is available to answer questions during business hours.

leotard, pink tights & pink full-soled leather ballet slippers (no
attached skirts) Black patent leather tap shoes for R&3's & 4's.
