Tuition Policies

Enrollment in Petaluma School of Ballet is on a semester basis only. By enrolling at the beginning of a semester it is understood that tuition for the entire semester is owed. No tuition deduction or allowance will be made due to the absence, withdrawal, or dismissal of the student. Tuition is not transferable and is non-refundable unless Nutcracker 2008 withdrawal is due to prolonged illness or injury verified by a doctor's note. Missed classes due to illness or holidays must be made up in a lower level class other than student's regular class during the same semester in which the class was missed. (R&2s, R&3s and R&4s are to makeup classes in the same level). First time students may withdraw up to the fourth lesson for a full refund (excluding classes taken and registration fee). After the fourth lesson, the semester tuition for first time students is fully owed and non-refundable.

Payment Options

The school year is divided into 2 semesters with 38 weeks of dance instruction for the year.  You may register in peson, by phone or mail (with postmark before 8/15).  Tuition must be paid in five equal installments either by Visa/Mastercard or post-dated checks held by Petaluma School of Ballet.  (We no longer take full semester payments).  In order to use Visa/Mastercard for installment payments, a registration form for automatic withdrawals must be signed in the office.  If you have not registered before 8/15, the first installment payment is due August 16-21 (the first week of classes), and then due the last business day of each month for the months September-December 2010.  Tuition will be prorated for students who enroll after a semester has begun.

Tuition will be charged, whether you’re attending or not, until a withdrawal form is completed. Accounts more than 90 days past due will be sent to our collection agency, North Coast Collections.
